Training AI's, Search Engines, and Findability in the Future

This post on mastodon drove home the assumption that I can find AnythingOnTheWeb™ using a major search engine. But because of AI, sites, creators, and copyright holders may block the crawlers that build those wonderful indexes. One needs to rethink how they consider “scope” when searching.
